Two ways to work
Count down when you can. Count up when you can't.
Most timers force the method. Timato gives you the pomodoro cycle and a plain stopwatch, and files both the same way.
Focus
25 on, 5 off, a longer break after four. The ring drains, the break starts itself, and the session logs the moment it ends.
Track
No target, no cycle. The clock counts up past an hour, a quiet nudge asks if you're still going, and Stop logs the real time.
Minutes, not dots

Working with agents
Hand a task to an agent. Keep your own clock.
Claude Code, Codex or any agent with a token can tell Timato when it starts and finishes a task. Its time shows beside yours, never inside your day, your week or your targets. One person, one clock.
See what's in flight. A quiet panel on the Timer lists every run an agent has open, and tells you when one finishes. No modal, no confetti.
See where the time went. Agent time per task and per project, beside your own. If your agent reports what it spent, that lands here too.
Connect in a minute. Create a token in Settings, hand it to the agent via the CLI or the MCP server. Revoke it any time.

For teams
Shared projects. No leaderboard.
Claim a task and it's yours until you let it go. Nobody doubles up. Everyone sees the project totals and their own hours. Nobody sees anybody else's.
Hard claims. A claimed task can't be started by someone else. Release it yourself, or an admin can.
Private by default. Members see team totals per project, never a name next to an hour count.
Invite how you like. Email, a link, a whole domain, or paste a list. Seats prorate the day you add them.

Do I have to use 25 minutes?
No. Set any lengths you like, or ignore the countdown entirely and use Track.
What happens to a session if I close the tab?
It keeps running. Timato restores the clock where it was, even after a reload or a crash.
Can my manager see what I worked on?
Admins of a team workspace can see member hours. Members can't see each other's, and labels stay personal either way.
Is there a mobile app?
Timato installs from the browser on iOS and Android: same timer, same history, no store.
Does an agent's time count as mine?
Never. An agent can record what it worked on, and that time shows beside yours on the task and the project. It is never added to your day, your week or a target.
